| Salto Recordings proudly presents on the new digital side of our label, ´Vodovoz` - Desert Plains. Russian born and classically trained pianist Danya Vodovoz is one of these old “füchse” in the business. He worked together with Mousse T. produced Sample CDs for the German Company “Ueberschall”, released on labels like Ministry Of Sound, Peppermint Jam, Stereo Cool, Naïve and recently he remixed “4Hero`s “Morning Child” besides Massive Attack. Coming up with a three tracker on Salto Digital, representing his minimal deep-house side, we are very proud to have him on board. Say “welcome” to Vodovoz. “Desert Plains” the opener for this release is an impressive track with a sleek bassline and a lovely guitar hook in the mid, no chance to leave the room when you hear this one.Dance, dance, dance is what you will feel when you listen to this track, you will love it !! “Strings`n`Things” a true love story, a warm ambiance created with lovely sounds and warm basses. This one is something special, full of emotions and aspiration. | Night Drive Music - Vodovoz "Serotonin" EP Supported by Laurent Garnier, Fabrice Lig, Pawas, Solomun and many others. Vodovoz gives us his own way of music, melting different styles, great ideas and nice influences to a beautifull Ep!"Transmitter", is the first track on the Ep. starting of with a nicely deep Bass. At first impression this track feels like Deep House, fitting really well in DJ sets for the dancefoor. "Serotonin" startung slowly but surely with a very nice feel. after the break the track goes on in a trippy and exciting way "Hottub" seems to be a Tech House track with a cool groove, nice vocal and bass parts. It seems there are lots of instruments featured on this really good track between Minimal and Tech House ...with a Jazzy flavour. "Mantra" - unfortunately the last track on the vinyl - is taking its time to introduce the melody and effects that build the rythmic shape, becoming deeper and groovyer as the track evolves - somewhere between Minimal and Deep Techno.by www.theclubbing.com |
